Acts of Love

Today the girls were playing outside with some friends, and Avery bifted it by the sandbox. She started crying and from the kitchen window I asked Madi to go and help her up. Madi runs over, asks Avery if she is ok, and then TRIES to help Avery up. I yell from the window, "It's ok, your ok. Go play!"
Avery takes a few seconds and realizes, that yeah, she's ok. Then they both head over to the play house together. Inside the playhouse Avery reaches out and gives Madi a nice hug. Avery then goes and sits down on one of the benches in the playhouse. Madi goes over to her and puts her hands on Avery's face and gives her a BIG kiss! I was like, ahhhhhhh how cute is that! Avery gets up again, reaches out to Madi and they both embrace in a big hug!
I just thought that was the sweetest thing! A mom's greatest joy!

Running errands

I was running some errands the other morning and Madi says to me, "Mom, can Avery go too, because she is my friend."
Me: "Yes, Madi Avery is coming with us too."
Madi: "Yeah, because I liked to play together with Avery and laugh together with Avery."

Boogers

Madi talking to Ryan and I the other day:
Madi: "Mom, I had a booger with my nose. Dad, do you have a booger in your nose?"

Silly Madi

*While Ryan and I were in Utah visiting Emily, the girls were with my parents in Rexburg for the weekend. The girls went to church with my parents and in scarament meeting, an older gentlemen with parkinson's disease was giving a talk. My mom said he was shaking pretty bad, as is expected with that disease. Well Madi turns to my mom and says, "That man is cold! Why is that man so cold? He needs a blanket."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*My dad was having a conversation with Madi this weekend and they were talking about things that were tiny and small. They both would take turns listing things that were tiny. Madi says to my dad, "My daddy's hairs are tiny."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*On the way home today from picking up the girls and hanging out with my family for memorial weekend, Madi says, "Dad, you are strong cuz like you put up (lifted) the biggest bicycle!"
Me: "Yeah, Daddy is really strong! He can lift a lot of heavy things huh?"
Madi: "Dad, you are the strongest. You put up that bike and it was the heaviest."
Me: "Who is stronger, Mommy or Daddy?"
Madi "Daddy is the strongest."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ryan sure liked that! We just chuckled. What a cute kid!
::HUGS::
I know I have said this before, but Avery is such a cuddle bug! She is always giving hugs. This moring,(after Madi's caterpillar episode) Ryan got up with the girls and feed them, so I could sleep in. (I have been pumping a few times in the middle of the night ever since the twins were born so I am usually wiped out by morning!) Anyway, when I finally did get out of bed and walked into the living room, Avery sees me and yells, "Mommy!" She makes a quick dash over to me giving me the best HUG ever! I love my girls' hugs! Sure makes waking up in the morning fun!
A case of Caterpillars
Ryan and I heard Madisen come downstairs this morning, but instead of coming into our room and asking for breakfast or to watch morning cartoons like she normally does, we hear her in the bathroom running the water. I call out to her, "Madi, what are you doing?"
"I have to brush my teeth, because there is a caterpillar in my mouth!"
~~~
Oops. My bad. I sometimes tell her when we are brushing her teeth that we have to get all the bugs out!

WHITE shirt and Chocolate milk

I had a friend come over today and bring Madi a B-Day present. Madi got some dinosaur cards, some bows and a cute, NEW, WHITE shirt. Well after dinner Avery had spilled some chocolate milk on the ground and I didn't notice until I saw her mopping it up with Madi's new WHITE birthday shirt! Ahhhh! I said, "No, no Avery. Stop!"
After I washed the shirt in the sink to make sure it wasn't going to stain, I came into the living room and Avery was standing with her nose in the corner in time out! HAHA!!! I never told her to go to time out, but she decided to put herself in anyway!
I guess I should be grateful that Avery has learned two things:
1. She TRIES to clean up after her messes.
2. She knows where the "time out" is and stays put.

Avery's little game

Avery is such a goof ball. She is always yelling, "Mama!" (or "Dada!") Then we say, "What?" This then turns into a game and we repeat this over and over again with each other and each time she gives this cheesy grin like she is doing something brillantly funny.

It's actually quite hilarious. I am sure one day I am going to be wishing I never told her my name...
